APG-Neuros
The Development Corporation
APG-Neuros is a joint-venture technology development company formed by Quebec-based Aviation and Power Group (APG) and South Korea-based Neuros Company. The company manufactures high-efficiency “green-tech” industrial turbo blowers which are applied in industrial aeration processes and most commonly used in municipal waste-water treatment systems. The company was targeting the U.S. – the largest environmental and water treatment market in the world – and was looking for a site location in North America to house their new production facility.Project Need(s)
APG-Neuros was in need of 60,000 SF +/- of industrial space and an immediate and expanding need for a local workforce with qualifications ranging from engineers and technicians to quality control personnel and assemblers.
Project Solution
On October 1, 2009, the company signed a three (3) year lease with TDC to occupy 60,000 sq. ft. at 160 Banker Road, Plattsburgh, NY.
Through the collaborative efforts of the Plattsburgh Regional Office of ESD and the OneWorkSource, APG-Neuros was made aware of the well-suited local workforce available to them as well as the various Empire Zone benefits they would qualify for. For its part, TDC packaged a very attractive lease with option to purchase agreement and is providing direct access to The Development Corporation”s Revolving Loan Fund.
In addition, Clinton County provided APG-Neuros with access to local vendors and fabricators for some of their turbo blower”s construction materials needs.
