Members in the News

The Center for Economic Growth (CEG) has named Katie Newcombe as its new Chief Economic Development Officer. 

The Long Island Business News has name the Nassau County IDA as their 2020 IDA of the Year.

With a grant from Empire State Development, Daddario and Co is building four semi-automated “work cells” to improve efficiency, lower costs, and double production, leading to more face shields and additional factory jobs.

The Chautauqua IDA has approved funding for economic injury resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic for 28 businesses and non-profits.

Thanks to assistance from Empire State Development,Greenlight Fiber will open a new facility in Henrietta, creating 93 new jobs and expand high speed internet service. 

Construction of the world's largest silicon carbide device manufacturing facility is on schedule for production in 2022 at the Marcy Nanocenter.

In the past three years, the Cayuga Economic Development Agency has worked with 349 existing businesses and 167 entrepreneurs resulting in 20 business expansion and startup projects committed to investing $199 million and creating 480 jobs.

The Colonie IDA has issued grants for four more small businesses and non-profits as part of its COVID-19 PPE.

The Tompkins County Area Development is now the Ithaca Area Economic Development.

Long Island City brewery Big Alice Brewing is expanding their operations by purchasing a new location in the Finger Lakes.

Buffalo continues to take an increasingly prominent role on Hollywood's production landscape with studio expansions.

Gear Motors plans to construct a new 55,943-square-foot manufacturing facility in Tonawanda with almost 90% of the space devoted to manufacturing and adding two full-time jobs to their staff. 

Construction has begun on a new building for the the Bridgehampton Child Care & Recreation Center thanks to grants from Empire State Development and Suffolk County.
