Anaren Microwave, Inc.

main_imageAnaren Microwave, Inc. was founded in 1967 to provide military microwave components for US electronic warfare systems. Over the years, the Company has expanded its product offerings in the defense market as well as the commercial wireless communications market. The company operates three facilities, the biggest located in the Town of Dewitt with over 450 employees.

Project Need (problem)

Anaren Microwave needed additional space for its manufacturing, administrative and support services. The Company anticipated growth coming from product expansion and realized that it needed to expand its operations. Anaren also considered its Salem, New Hampshire site for the expansion project. The company approached OCIDA for financial assistance for a project consisting of a 54,000 sq foot expansion at its manufacturing facility in Dewitt.

Project Solution

OCIDA provided sales and use tax exemptions, mortgage recording tax exemption as well as a payment-in-lieu of tax agreement. The project retained 80 existing jobs and created 60 new jobs.
