Since its founding in 1993, Concept Systems has been committed to locating in Downtown Ithaca. So when the need for growth presented itself, the company renewed this commitment by purchasing and rehabilitating an historic building on the Ithaca Commons, Downtown Ithaca's pedestrian mall.
Concept Systems Incorporated provides dynamic software and consulting services that are used by organizations for consensus building, decision-making, planning, development, and evaluation. The powerful and easy-to-use software has been used on hundreds of projects for government agencies, national associations, nonprofit organizations, and private businesses to turn "ideas into action."
CSI's Ithaca location affords access to the vast educational and research resources of Cornell University.
Concept Systems growth required it to move to a larger space to create its world headquarters. The companies commitment to locating in Downtown Ithaca lead them to the decision to purchase their historic building on the Ithaca Commons.
Rather than renting or leasing, Concept Systems decided to purchase an existing building located on the Ithaca Commons. The historic building had active first floor retail space, but the upper 3 stories were being under-utilized and were in need on extensive repairs.
Tompkins County Area Development and other area organizations partnered with Concept Systems to make this project a reality. One powerful tool we utilized was the Empire Zone Program.
