Allred & Associates, Inc.
Allred & Associates is an engineering/design, research and development and manufacturing firm. The company, located in Elbridge, New York, has several distinct business lines and products, including medical device consulting, production of wood carving machines and custom engineering and manufacture of carbon fiber laminates.
Project Need (problem)
In 2006, Allred & Associates sought OCIDA's help with its construction of a 10,000 sq foot manufacturing facility. The company formerly leased two locations in Auburn, New York and wanted to expand. In 2009, the company decided to expand their manufacturing facility. The project consists of the construction and equipping of a 6,000 sq foot manufacturing facility to be located adjacent to its existing manufacturing and office building.
Project Solution
OCIDA approved exemptions from sales and use taxes, mortgage recording tax exemption, along with a payment-in-lieu of tax agreement. The first expansion created 12 new jobs and the latest project is estimated to create 7 additional jobs.
